Export Questions to CSV File

Export Questions to CSV File

You can export questions to a comma-separated values (CSV) file from the Questions tab in the Exam and Question Manger. The export CSV file is exported with the same format used to import questions via the Question CSV Loader. This means you can export questions, edit them and then import the updated questions. For example, subject matter experts without access to the LMS can review questions and supply answers in a text editor or spreadsheet application.

You can filter the questions list to export only the questions you want to include in the CSV file.

Administrators with read-only or unrestricted access to the Exam and Question Manager feature and unrestricted access to the Questions feature in System Roles (Manage Features > Exam Manager Features) can export questions.

To export questions to a CSV file

  1. Go to Manage Center > Learning > Questions. The Exam and Question Manager page opens at the Questions tab.
  2. Filter the list of questions, if required.
  3. Click Export to CSV. A file named Questions.csv is downloaded to your browser's default downloads location.
