Book a Class Resource

Book a Class Resource

Catalog administrators can book a class resource from the Class Resource Calendar to reserve it for a future event. This could be for a classroom-based course that has yet to be configured in the LMS, for example.

When you book a resource a scheduled event is created for it, which is shown in the Resource Planner and Class Resource Calendar when the resource is selected for display. The resource's bookings are also shown in its Schedule tab in the Class Resources page.

To book a resource from the Class Resource Manager:

1. Go to Manage Center > Learning > Class Resource Manager. The Class Resource Calendar opens with a blank calendar.

2. Optionally, to show existing bookings for the resource, start typing its name in the Resources text box and then select it from the auto-complete suggestions. Alternatively, click the browse icon to open the Resources Selector, where you can select one or more resources.

3. Click +Book Resource. The Book Resource dialog opens.

4. Enter or select the Resource Name you want to book (see step 2).

5. You must also complete the Quantity, Title, Booker, Start Time and End Time fields.

6. Optionally, add a comment about the booking.

7. Click Submit to save the booking.
